The Evolution of Expertise: From Grease to Algorithms

My career didn’t start with a business plan; it started among yellow steel, grease, oil, and the roar of engines. I grew up on the foundation my father built in the 1970s, where hard work and a man’s word were the only currency that mattered.

By the late ’80s, I was learning the trade from the inside out in the field and on the shop floor, turning wrenches and mastering the mechanics of how machines truly behave in the field. This “hands-on” heritage is what allows me to see what others miss.

Following my time in the field, we established our family business in 1997, marking the start of my journey into sales and marketing. The systems I pioneered back then have been continuously perfected, serving as the high-tech foundation I use today.

Today, I’ve transformed that lifelong technical foundation into a high-performance sales tool. In our advancing world, I don’t rely on luck; I utilize a sophisticated digital ecosystem, powered by AI-driven insights and the automated frameworks I’ve been perfecting since the late ’90s to source machinery with surgical precision. I bridge the gap between “old-school” machinery and “new-school” efficiency, making international trade smarter, more transparent, and faster for my clients.

Stoevelaar Recycling

2026 –

Stoevelaar Machinery is a manufacturer, sales & service organisation. They sell shredders, grinder and chippers for the sawmill and biomass industry.

Findeq

2021 – 2025

Findeq was a global player for used recycling equipment. The platform is findable, searchable and contains many machines from end-users, traders and dealers in Europe. 

Lhee Beheer

1997 –

I am available for consultancy, advisory, research, or survey jobs. I can provide insights into the Dutch, European, and global markets, auctions, equipment traders, sales, import, export, and more.

H.H. Machinery

2015 –

H.H. stands for my christian name, Hendrik Herman, but also stands for my dads name: Harry Haverkotte. I am proud to continue that name so it keeps the Haverkotte trading legacy alive.

Van Der Spek / Prima Used

2017 – 2021​

The Haverkotte family sold Prima Equipment to Van Der Spek vianen. Dutch dealer for Powerscreen, Lindner, Peterson, Terex, Fuchs, Hyundai, Dynapac, Telestack Equipment.

2010 – 2016

Emeco International left Europe in the economic crisis years. The Haverkotte family bought the equipment left in Europe back and founded Prima Equipment.

Emeco International

2006 – 2010

The Haverkotte family sold the Euro Machinery business to Emeco International PTY from Australia to form the new Emeco Europe, a rental comany for medium and large mining equipment in Europe. 

Euro Machinery

1997 – 2006

In 1997 Harry Haverkotte founded Euro Machinery with his son Roy later in 1999 joined by Erik Brand. Together they managed to grow the company and sell lots of Used Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi and Tamrock Equipment worldwide.

TSM / EMV Baumaschinen

1990 – 1997

TSM / EMV Baumaschinen was a major rental and service operation specializing in heavy earthmoving equipment in eastern Germany.
